Blueprint for Growth: Construction Conference and Expo

Mecklenburg County Asset and Facility Management  is hosting an event on Friday, April 26, to inform contractors, architects, designers and engineers about being a construction vendor for the County. 

The Blueprint for Growth conference and expo will help current County vendors and those interested in becoming a vendor understand construction contracting with Mecklenburg County. Attendees will learn about the onboarding process and conducting business with the County. This day-long, multisession event will also include a construction resource expo, Minority Business Enterprise and Women Business Enterprise (MBE/WBE) certification support, and networking opportunities.  

Check-in begins at 9:30 a.m. The event will run 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The location is the Valerie C. Woodard Center at 3205 Freedom Drive in Charlotte (enter through the "E" door). 

The conference sessions will cover: 

  • Upcoming County projects, including traditional building and construction, and parks and greenways. 
     
  • Engaging with the County’s Business Diversity and Inclusion program. 
     
  • Essentials for contractor success. 
     
  • Essentials for architectural and engineering success. 
     
  • Navigating bids, awards and construction.
