After several weeks of the COVID-19 Community Level at Medium and High, the County’s level is now at Low. The CDC COVID-19 Community Level is based on a combination of new COVID-19 hospital admissions, the number of hospitalized patients with COVID-19, and new COVID-19 cases.

“This is good news for our residents, but I encourage everyone to remain vigilant about their health. While our community level is low, surveillance shows prevalence of the latest subvariant of the virus continues to grow in the County. As the winter season moves forward, we need to continue to safeguard those who are most vulnerable to COVID-19,” said Dr. Raynard Washington, Mecklenburg County Public Health director.
