The Catherine M. Wilson Center’s lobby (formerly known as the Wallace H. Kuralt Center) will close on Dec. 31. It has long served as a resource for customers seeking help with Medicaid applications, Food and Nutrition Services, energy assistance, and other programs. But with the 2023 opening of the Ella B. Scarborough CRC in northeast Charlotte and the availability of the Valerie C. Woodard CRC in west Charlotte, customers can access those services and much more in one place.

CRCs provide a full range of health and human services all in one place. In addition to economic services, CRC customers can find help with employment services, WIC (Women, Infants and Children), child support services, public health services, veterans services, behavioral health counseling, MECK Pre-K, and other County and on-site community partner services.

The recently renamed Catherine M. Wilson Center will undergo renovations starting next year for continued use by County staff.
