Get Ready for Fun in the Sun: Summer Camp Registration to Open in February
The days may be chilly now, but summer will be here before you know it. Make a plan to keep the kids learning, active and healthy over the long summer break. Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation will open registration for its 2026 summer camps beginning Feb. 3-5.
Bookmark the registration link and sign up as soon as registration opens. Camps fill up fast, so don’t wait!
- Feb. 3: Mecklenburg County residents can register for camps at Eastway Regional Recreation Center and Northern Regional Recreation Center.
- Feb. 4: Mecklenburg County residents can register for camps at other recreation centers and nature centers, for therapeutic and inclusive recreation camps, and for aquatics camps.
- Feb. 5: People who live outside Mecklenburg County can register for camps.
A variety of camps are available for kids and teens of all interests: sports, aquatics, outdoor adventures, creativity and arts, technology, and more. Diverse formats, durations and locations also help to make the camp experience accessible and able to fit your family’s needs.
Camps are listed now on Park and Recreation’s activity registration site. Registration opens at 9 a.m. each day.
To further ensure summer camps are accessible to all, Park and Recreation is offering scholarships to Mecklenburg County residents based on eligibility and availability. Scholarships take up to two weeks to process, so apply now to ensure your scholarship funds are in place before the summer camp registration window.
