Learn How to Grow Your Business: Register for What’s Next 2025

Entrepreneurs who have customers and are generating revenue, but want to move their businesses to the next level, can turn to the Mecklenburg County Office of Economic Development for expertise and resources.
Registration for the spring 2025 What’s Next Seminar Series is now open. Over three weeks in May, this six-part series of virtual lectures will help business owners reach the next stage of business growth. Johnson C. Smith University will facilitate each lecture, bringing in business experts to discuss several key topics:
- Scaling Sales and Marketing (May 6): Creating go-to marketing strategies to help scale a business.
- Planning for Growth (May 8): Helping a business achieve scalability.
- Scaling Operations (May 13): Defining all the components of a business and learning the importance of developing infrastructure, systems and processes.
- Funding for Growth (May 15): Monitoring. measuring and interpreting the financial health of a business, and funding organizational growth.
- Hiring for the Long Haul (May 20): Identifying hiring needs, creating job descriptions and matching the right people to the right positions.
- Tales of Growth (May 22): Learning from entrepreneurs about how they shifted from working in the business to working on the business.
Participants can register for individual seminars or complete the full series. Those who participate in every seminar will be awarded a certificate of completion for the series. Each seminar will take place from 6-8 p.m.
