Parks and Preserves Now Open

Parks and preserves are now open. Greenways are reopening with most being open by end of the day (Friday, Aug. 9). Staff are working to clear debris at various facilities. Some areas may remain blocked off while work is taking place. Please continue to use caution when entering Park and Recreation facilities.

Closures until further notice due to storm related impacts:

  • Six Mile Creek Greenway
  • Revolution Park
  • Double Oaks Aquatic Facility

Mecklenburg County offices will be open for in person services on Friday, Aug. 9, 2024.

All parks and greenways will remain closed. Once these locations have been safely cleared, they will reopen. Parks and greenways impacted will remain closed until further notice. Please use caution when entering a park facility. If you happen to see flooding or debris within County parks, preserves, or greenways, please report it online or call 3-1-1.

Due to anticipated inclement weather from Tropical Storm Debby, Mecklenburg County government will close offices Thursday, Aug. 8, 2024. Employees who are eligible to telework will do so, with essential employees expected to check with their managers for information on their work schedules.
