Mecklenburg County Public Information Earns Awards of Excellence
Mecklenburg County has been recognized with eight 2024 Awards of Excellence from the National Association of County Information Officers (NACIO). NACIO honors the innovative, creative and outstanding work of county government communicators throughout the nation.
The Mecklenburg County Public Information Department received the awards on Saturday, July 13, 2024, at the NACIO annual board meeting in Tampa, Florida in the following categories:
- Best Overall Performance in Multi-Page Education Booklet category for Park and Recreation Visual Brand Guidelines
- Best Overall Performance in Public-Safety category for Flood Safety-Severe Weather Preparedness Week (Recognizes Storm Water Services)
- Superior Performance in Community Engagement for Behavioral Health Strategic Plan
- Superior Performance in Logos category for Tiger Day
- Superior Performance in Featured Articles category for Making the Ride Easier for People with Dementia
- Superior Performance in Multi-Page Education Booklet category for Mecklenburg County Social Media Handbook
- Excellent Performance in Website category for Improving Resident Engagement Through a Newly Redesigned Website and Platform Migration (MeckNC.gov)
- Meritorious Performance in Long Video category for Dear Second Ward
