Mecklenburg County’s Free Sundown Sounds Concert Series Returns This Summer

Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation’s free summer concert series, Sundown Sounds, will return to stages this summer. With a range of genres, from R&B to classic rock, beach music, funk and more, the concert series offers sounds everyone can enjoy.  

The 2024 series runs from June to August. Ramsey Creek Beach will host concerts on the second Friday of each month, Eastway Regional Recreation Center will host concerts on the third Thursday, and Pearl Street Park will host concerts on the fourth Thursday. Concerts will be from 7-9 p.m. The full schedule is as follows:  

Venue information and a list of performing artists are available on Park and Recreation’s Special Events webpage. Vendors will be available on site, and the concerts are free and open to the public.
