Mecklenburg County’s Juvenile Crime Prevention Council to Spend $2 Million to Support Work with At-risk Youth
The Juvenile Crime Prevention Council (JCPC) is accepting applications for funding from programs that serve at-risk and delinquent youth, or youth who are otherwise under the supervision of juvenile court.
A Request for Proposal (RFP) seeks applications from organizations interested in providing services for justice-involved youth in Mecklenburg County. More than $2 million will be allocated for fiscal year 2025-2026 (July 1, 2025, to June 30, 2026).
“The work to support our at-risk youth can be transformative for our young people as well as our community,” said Sonya L. Harper, Mecklenburg County Criminal Justice Services director. “We know our at-risk youth need the support and we are committed to vetting and supporting the best programs and proven organizations.”
Criminal Justice Services supports the Juvenile Crime Prevention Council in its mission to serve our community in partnership with North Carolina.

A pre-bid information session is mandatory to apply for funds. Potential applicants are required to attend at least one of the events below. Each program submitting a proposal must send a representative to at least one of these mandatory information sessions to be considered for funding.
