Small business owners often struggle to find the resources they need to grow and sustain their businesses. With few funding and employee resources, the challenge to remain afloat, let alone flourish, is daunting.

The Mecklenburg County Office of Economic Development offers two programs for small businesses that are in different stages of growth.

The Business LaunchPad is a no-cost, 5-month program that offers participants access to subject-matter experts, business development resources, and in-kind professional service grants. The program targets small, minority, and woman-owned businesses interested in securing governmental, institutional, and private contracting opportunities. Apply today, space is limited to 20 participants.

Get Up and Grow is a business management program that enables business owners with knowledge and skills to grow, expand, and increase annual sales beyond $125,000. The no-cost program helps local business owners develop a strategic growth plan. Participants receive access to professional consultants, a peer network, and trainings with subject matter experts. Apply today, space is limited to 20 participants.

Classes for both programs begin in January 2023. The deadline for applications is Oct. 31. For more information on this series or Mecklenburg County's Business Diversity and Inclusion Program, visit the webpage.
