Three Women Test Positive for MPX

Mecklenburg County Public Health (MCPH) is moving to increase vaccine access and availability. Health department clinics will move to walk-in appointments for the MPX vaccine for those who are eligible.

“While the number of newly confirmed cases has started to decline, we now have three unconnected women who’ve tested positive for MPX. We want to make sure people who may be at risk can just walk into our clinics and get the vaccine. If you’re busy with work and other responsibilities and don’t have time to make an appointment, we understand and we want to help,” said Dr. Raynard Washington, Mecklenburg County Public Health Director.
