Ramsey Creek Beach Closed Aug. 8-10

Mecklenburg County’s Ramsey Creek Beach will be closed Aug. 8-10 due to elevated bacteria levels. The elevated levels were identified during a routine weekly check by Charlotte-Mecklenburg Storm Water Services of the beach’s water quality. The elevated bacteria level is likely a result of heavy rains.  

Retesting will take place on Monday, Aug. 11. Information regarding updates on the beach will be posted on Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation’s social media pages and ParkandRec.MeckNC.gov.

Ramsey Creek Park located at 18441 Nantz Rd. in Cornelius will remain open for residents to enjoy.
