Ramsey Creek Beach Closed Labor Day Weekend Due to Elevated Bacteria Levels

Ramsey Creek Beach will be closed Labor Day weekend due to elevated bacteria levels. Charlotte-Mecklenburg Storm Water Services tests water quality at the beach weekly.  We suspect the elevated bacteria is a result of the heavy rains from the remnants of Hurricane Idalia.

Retesting will take place daily and updates on additional closure dates for the weekend will be based upon these results.

Ramsey Creek Park will remain open for use. Information regarding updates on the beach will be posted on Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation’s social media pages and website, parkandrec.mecknc.gov.
