Recreation Center Reopens in the Reid Park Neighborhood
Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation (MCPR) has reopened the Amay James Recreation Center at 2425 Lester St, Charlotte, NC 28208. The facility features a gymnasium, multipurpose rooms, and the N.C. Cooperative Extension Mecklenburg County office in the adjoining annex building.
"Neighborhood parks and recreation centers are how we assist families and individuals to stay healthy. Having the N.C. Cooperative Extension and Amay James Recreation Center working together will further improve visitors' quality of life," said Lee Jones, MCPR director.
The facility will be open Monday through Thursday from 3:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., Friday from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. for visitors to explore a variety of adult and youth programs. Facility rentals are also available for your next party, family gathering or event.
