Residents of Mecklenburg County have until the end of February to let us know what they think would make our community a better place. The resident budget survey for Mecklenburg County’s Fiscal Year 2024-2025 spending plan will be open through Feb. 29. It is available at Budget.MeckNC.gov.

The survey is one of several ways residents can let Mecklenburg County leaders know what’s important to them when it comes to services and programs funded by their tax dollars. It takes just a few minutes to complete and allows residents to indicate their priorities, how they feel about the level of funding for services, and what they feel are the community’s greatest needs.

The Board of County Commissioners and County manager are in the process of crafting a FY2024-2025 budget that is responsive to the needs and preferences of the community. County Manager Dena R. Diorio will present her budget recommendation on May 16. A public hearing is scheduled for May 23 with the Board adopting the budget on June 4.
