Review of CDBG FY23 Annual Action Plan Requested by April 30, 2023

​Mecklenburg County would like residents’ participation in the review of the 2023-2024 Annual Action Plan (2023-2024 AAP) for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program. This annual document is required by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) in order to receive federal assistance to address housing, economic development, and community development issues. The 2023-2024 AAP is a planning document the County submits each year to HUD detailing how the County proposes to spend the CDBG funds during the next program year operating from July 1, 2023, through June 30, 2024.

The 2023-2024 AAP is available for public review and comment from April 1, 2023, to April 30, 2023.

The County will hold an in person public hearing on Tuesday, April 11, 2023, at 11:00 AM, at the Charlotte Mecklenburg Government Center, located at 600 East 4th Street, Charlotte, NC 28202, Second Floor Room 278 to obtain feedback and proposed ideas from citizens at the initial stage of preparing the Annual Action Plan and to enable citizens the opportunity to comment on the County’s community development program and goals.
