Responsible for helping coordinate the intergovernmental relations between and among Mecklenburg County and all the governing bodies operating within the County at the federal, state and local levels.

George Dunlap, Chairman and District 3, was first elected to the Mecklenburg Board of County Commissioners in 2008.

Elaine Powell serves as the Vice Chair of the Mecklenburg Board of County Commissioners. She was first elected as commissioner in 2018 by the people of District 1 in North Mecklenburg. 

Pat Cotham, At Large, was first elected to the Mecklenburg Board of County Commissioners (her first elected office) in 2012. 

George Dunlap, at-large, was first elected to the Mecklenburg Board of County Commissioners in 2022.
