Mecklenburg County Offices and Services Delayed Tuesday, Feb. 3
Due to the inclement weather and cold temperatures this week, Mecklenburg County offices and services will operate on a delayed basis on Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2026, opening at noon.
This includes all units of:
- DSS Child, Family, and Adult Services
- Hotlines operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week to receive reports of suspected abuse or neglect. To report abuse of seniors or the disabled, call 704-336-CARE (2273). To report abuse, neglect, or human trafficking of children, call 980-31-HELPS (43577).

Park and Recreation: All operations including recreation and senior centers, parks, nature preserves, and nature centers are expected to open at noon and close at 5 p.m. Please note, registration for Summer Camps will remain as scheduled.
Charlotte Mecklenburg Library locations are expected to open at noon and close at 5 p.m.
